frequently asked questions
Products
Where are your products brewed?
All our products are brewed in Victoria, Australia. Our home base is in (sometimes) sunny Brunswick.
What is Pét Nat Kombucha?
Pét Nat Kombucha is what you get when you combine brewing kombucha with brewing Pét Nat wine. It’s kombucha elevated and low-alc reinvented. The newest approach to interesting sparkling products that don’t result in a hangover the next day.
How much alcohol is in Monceau?
Every bottle of Monceau is brewed to a maximum 1.15% ABV. This makes it a wonderful ultra-low-alc option to share with family and friends.
How much alcohol is in Parc?
Each can of Parc Pils has less than 0.5% ABV, placing it within the category of non-alcoholic (or ultra-low-alcohol in some jurisdictions).
Why the little bit of alcohol? Why not go zero-alc?
Put simply, for the flavour that a natural brewing process imparts on the drink. The process of fermentation which develops the beautiful complexity of our drinks naturally produces a small amount of alcohol. Some brewers then use teched-out filters or boil the drink to get rid of that last bit of booze, but we think you can really notice this alteration when you drink it. We have tinkered and studied the science a good deal in all our products, and feel we've found a sweet spot between a great natural flavour and an ultra-low alcohol level.
What’s the best before date for your products?
All our bottles have best before dates printed on them. It should be printed on the back of the label near the barcode, or alternatively on a little sticker of its own.
Are your products gluten free?
Unfortunately, Parc Pils is not gluten free. However, Monceau is totally gluten free and is the product for all our gluten-sensitive friends.
Can you get drunk from drinking non-alcoholic beer?
At 0.5% ABV, Parc Pils is classified as ultra-low-alcohol. However, it cannot get you drunk. There are a heap of things in our day-to-day lives that contain similar levels of alcohol (a ripe banana, burger rolls or a slice of rye bread just to name a few!)
How soon after opening a bottle of Monceau should I finish it?
If you’ve cracked open one of our gorgeous 750ml bottles for a dinner party but didn’t quite make it through the whole bottle, grab a wine bottle stopper and your Monceau will stay nicely fizzy for another couple of days.
Can I drink Monceau if I’m pregnant?
Monceau products are unpasteurised, which is something a lot of pregnant women choose to avoid drinking during pregnancy. We’ve gone into more depth about Monceau kombucha and pregnancy on our blog post but the tl;dr is you should chat with your doctor before making any decisions!
Shipping
Where do you offer shipping to?
We offer shipping to most of Australia, depending on the products you order and where you are. Sometimes when we use refrigerated couriers there are certain places they cannot deliver.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is totally free Australia-wide.
Do you have tracking on orders?
All orders are tracked either via Australia Post or our refrigerated courier partners. Once the order is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. There you can keep an eye on your order until it reaches you.
I only received one of the boxes in my order and I’m still waiting for another one/few boxes. What’s happening with them?
Unfortunately, some orders get split up during transit and one or two boxes may arrive before others. This isn’t something to be concerned about, and the rest of the order should show up a couple of days after the original delivery.
How long does shipping take?
Generally, shipping will take around 5-7 days (often quicker in Melbourne), provided there are no delays with our shipping partners.
It seems like my order was shipped unrefrigerated, does that make Monceau unsafe to drink?
Once Monceau is unrefrigerated for a few days, it is possible that the fermentation process will kick start again. However, it won’t be long enough between leaving our brewery and arriving at your doorstep for anything major to have changed. It may simply be a little fizzier and drier but still totally safe and delicious!

We absolutely do! You can head to this page for more info on all things wholesale.
Do you need an alcohol license to sell Monceau products?
This is a tricky one. Any of our drinks that are 0.5% or below can be sold without a license. For the drinks that are 1.15% ABV (e.g. Monceau Pet Nat): each state adopts its own laws on what level of ABV classifies a product as alcoholic. In NSW, WA and SA, for example, a liquor license is NOT required to sell 1.15% ABV drinks. However, in VIC and QLD, a liquor license IS required.
